Meet the Chef

Hello All! My name is Chef Catie Amaral and I’m the Executive Chef, Founder and face behind Catered by Catie. I’m a Bay Area native with 18 years of professional culinary experience, I’m a classically French trained chef and graduate of California Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu program San Francisco. I’m Michelin trained, I have a AOS in Culinary Arts, a BA in Culinary Management and a MA in Food Studies with a concentration in Nutrition and Food Policy from University of the Pacific. Cooking is in my blood, I grew up cooking with my great grandmother, grandmother, mother and everyone else in between. My style is California cuisine with a Southern flare and an Island vibe, representing both sides of my heritage. My mother’s family is from the American South. My father’s family is from Madeira and the Azores Islands, later migrating to Hawaii and California.
