Hello Everyone!

My name is Chef Catie Amaral aka Baychef510. You can call me Cat. I’m a SF Bay Area native born and raised and I was born to cook. I’m an island girl at heart, I’m half Portuguese from the islands of Madeira and São Miguel, on my Dad’s side, who then migrated to Maui and Oahu. Mom’s side is Swedish and Bohemian, her family hailing from the deep South. Eventually both sides ended up in California. I was raised on Southern and island hospitality, in the kitchen and garden with my great grandmothers, grandmothers, mom and everyone in between. I’m classically French trained via Le Cordon Bleu with almost two decades in service. My style is California Mediterranean: bold, fresh flavors, local, organic whole foods, straight from the garden, land and ocean at peak of season. I specialize in events, private chef work, meal prep and desserts. I’d love to cook for you!
